Why route planning matters as much as cable choice

A cable routed too close to power lines picks up electrical interference; one run through an area likely to see future renovation gets damaged or has to be re-pulled; one without conduit protection in an exposed area is vulnerable to physical damage or pests. Planning the actual physical path, not just specifying cable type, is what determines long-term reliability.

What good conduit planning looks like

Conduit sized with spare capacity for future cable additions avoids having to break open walls again later for one more run. Separate pathways for power and data cabling where possible reduces interference. And routes planned around a building's actual future use — not just its current layout — avoid a cable being in the way of a planned renovation.
